Trailblazer™ MA
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moderate to High Activity (U.S. Levels 3 & 4) Features Multiaxial Ankle Compound Spring System™ Provides Dramatic Energy Return with Long-Term Durability 36-month warranty The Trailblazer MA Foot is an extension of the Trailblazer Foot family.
This foot marries a high-activity multiaxial ankle with the key features included in the original Trailblazer Foot:
- Compound Spring System which increases toe spring effectiveness while maintaining long-term durability. - Constructed of unique composites - Provides increased deflection and dramatic energy return - PerforMax™ Heel with three heel spring options for foot customization
The multi-axial ankle incorporated into the Trailblazer MA is ideal for high-activity amputees. The foot and ankle combination allow an amputee to traverse a wide variety of terrain with stability and confidence while maintaining a high energy return.
The foot also offers customization of the amount of ankle movement by use of a Flexion Ring over the neck of the ankle pyramid. The larger the diameter of the Flexion Ring yields increased motion.
The foot and ankle combination remains light weight and maintains a low profile. The foot comes with a high-activity foot shell which features extra sole reinforcement for increased durability Specifications -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Based on size 26cm foot. ** Body weight plus any loads normally or routinely carried cannot exceed this weight limit. To Select Proper Composite Toe Spring Stiffness:
Calculate adjusted body weight. (Adjusted body weight = patient body weight + loads normally or routinely carried) Using adjusted body weight and patient activity level, select the toe spring stiffness from the chart below. If the amputee’s weight is near the border between two categories: choose the higher of the two categories if the amputee is very active or has a longer residual limb. choose the lower of the two categories if the amputee is moderately active or has a very short residual limb.
If the adjusted body weight of the patient exceeds 250 lbs. (115kg), the Pathfinder® II Foot, Magnum Foot or Impulse® Foot is recommended.
