Did you know there are techniques to optimize vacuum suction during socket fabrication?
One of these techniques is to carve four air extraction grooves in the positive plaster model. This allows the air to escape so that the vacuum suction can do its work to thoroughly conform the thermoplastic to the model.
Tip: make sure to carve the grooves beyond the proximal borders of the socket.
